Has anybody fitted a table in their cockpit. I would like to attach it to the wheel console cabin side. The console curves so I need to get a post that would fit. It also needs to swivel and detach so table top can be stored away when not in use. If anybody has recommendations it will help in my search.

Cockpit table 26m

Hi Brian, I am just making one at this moment I got a fold down table bracket from force four chandlery ( item number 890451 ) I am making the table top out of laminated ply and then cutting the curved bit out so it fits snugly when in the upright position. My measurements are 10 X 14 inches. I hope this that this helps you.
Hi Andrew
We've got an X as well, it would be great to see some photo's of your finished product

Hi Andrew, I saw a similar bracket on ebay so it will be interesting how you go on with this one, especially with the curve of the console.. I was hoping to have a bigger table hence the need to take it off and store when not in use. If you can post some pictures when it's finished it would be appreciated. Regards Brian.
Have completed the main part of the table and now working on fold over side extension. I'm currently doing a lot of electrical installations on ANDIAMO so fitting the table build between jobs. Should be finished in a couple of weeks. Will be able to place at least two main meal plates on it.
Hi all, have still only done the main part of the table, this will have to do for this season as can't justify spending over £40 for four reversed table hinges. The table is very strong, have even sat on it.🤔 Having trouble uploading picture as doing this on my phone.
Hi,
Are there any images uploaded of your various (cockpit) table mod(s)? Presently, I am looking to make up an exterior cockpit table that can be fitted to the pedestal in the cockpit. BWY and co have tables available, but they are pricey for that they are. I envision a design with folding table hinges so the table can double up in size when in use. Potentially, to extend the table top further so it would go to around the pedestal in order to maximise the usable space when boat is moored. I do have lagoon yacht table leg and frame in storage, but it is quite heavy and I struggle to find a suitable (flat) surface to mount it to. Another option would be to turn a locker lid into a cockpit table. A two-in-one solution and one could use it as tray or laptop table/workstation as well. The standard storage lids are very flimsy. I could replace some of them to make up a table if I go down that route. I do like wood, but likely reverting to using starboard or other suitable HDPE to keep the weight, cost and maintenance down. Would be great if you could share of examples your own cockpit table solutions. Using HDPE would enable me to make up some stern rail seats as well...
Cheers,
Thor
