GJW w3te good for me for many years. A bit more pricey that some but they responded very well without question to the several claims for damage I made . I eventually changed to Saga but they stopped doing insurance for boats and I went to Haven Knox Johnson who also have been good
Covered both trailer and boat and I had a trailer claim this year. Good to deal with.
I got caught with another insurer about insuring in water from November so had to switch in a hurry last year on the 31st October as a storm was about to hit...
We've been using Insure 4 Boats for several years now. The last couple of years the price has gone down, it's the only insurance that I've ever had that has gone down. This year we paid £274 for a £30,000 cover with a £1,000 excess. This covers up to twelve miles offshore from start of April to the end of October in the water then covered on the hard the rest of the year. I have enquired about cover for crossing the Channel & using European offshore waters this was an extra £53.
What car insurance are you with please Simon ? Our car insurance went up by £38 after a lot of arguing with our insurance company. We have our house insurance with the same company & never had a claim in over 45 years. We have tried other companies but still about the same price. (Not happy)
Hi Hugh
I used GJW for several years. Premium was reasonable. I never claimed so have no experience of that side!

Thank you Messrs Jones and Simpson.
Applied to GJW and Haven Knox Johnson, went with HKJ as they were slightly less expensive and easier online application.
Again many thanks Gentlemen.
Hugh.
I just renewed with Navigators & General.

Just to say that my car insurance went down this year. A first!
Simon.
