Hi 26M owners, I have been experiencing water ingress on my 26M which appears to be coming in via the anchor locker on the bow. There is a drain hole at the rear of the locker which is presumably connected to a tube which takes the water out at the starboard side of the bow. I suspect that the tube has spplit or detached but cannot get to the underside of the bow locker. Has anyone replaced or refitted this drain tube ?

26M Anchor locker drain
That's weird Liz. Is your locker draining ok? If so it's odd that there's enough to leak into boat. Mine often blocked with gritty sand or shell and I bought a drain unblocker to clear it. You could cut an inspection hole into the inner skin to check things out. I almost did that to fit a D for securing anchor rope.
Thanks Roly, it's Duncan Cairney, for some reason the club has my User name as Liz Best (my partner).. The locker is draining but would appear to be draining into the cabin staining the carpeted sides of the cabin in the process. I removed the front hatch surround thinking that I could then remove the ceiling panel but can firn no way of removing this. I have sealed the drain hole which leaves the cabin dry but then the anchor locker fills up...
Unusual problem Duncan , maybe the tube got damaged at some point, maybe through rodding it out . Might be worth a global search for similar problem . Wonder if you could somehow feed a flexible rod with catheter around it and then remove rod and seal each end.....That's my medical brain thinking how to fix a leaky artery !
Just s thought Duncan . I'm not sure if you had the boat from new but some people have connected the anchor locker to the water ballast as a way of allowing air to be released ...could that have been done but now the hose is leaking?
Hi Roly, I bought the boat around six years ago from previous owner. There is the standard air release bung for the ballast tank under the front V berth and I don't think there have been any mods. Given that there is an outlet on the starboard side of the bow which I assume is for the bow locker I figured that this must be connected by a tube which may have become detached or have frozen and split / deteriorated and now leaking into the cabin. Having the anchor locker fill up is less of an issue than having the water ingress to the boat so I will just keep the drain hole bunged and manually bail out the locker until I can find out how to access the drain tube. still hopeful that another member may have the answer..
Hi Duncan
I found this article in Macgregorsailors.com

Not very helpful as it involves cutting a large hole to access under the anchor locker.

Thanks Jonathan, no access hatch unfortunately. Locker drain not blocked but drain pipe must be split or detached.
