Hi Rick

Hi Rick
I did notice the odd hole when we used it last year, but am no expert on how bad is bad, if that makes sense.
I could lay it out and do a hole number & size count I suppose.
Is there a sailmaker recommended list on the Internet so I can find one in either the northeast or northwest
TIA

I wouldnt want to go out in

I wouldnt want to go out in anything but a light wind if there were holes in my sail....be sure to rip and ruin my day as well as being more costly to repair....the old stitch on time thing....small holes and rips can often be patched dry successfully by a decent sail maker. Sails are not too heavy so if there's no one near you then maybe photograph the problem and email to someone. It seems common for this to be done by post if the price and quality are right.

Hi Roly

Hi Roly
Thanks for that, to the untrained eye a hole can either be horrifying or a shrug of the shoulders.
Found Storrar Marine in Newcastle so I think I'll get the sail laid out for a close inspection then get in touch with them.
In the worst case scenario and I need a new one, what's the best mid priced material etc to look at ? I can imagine it to be like 40 questions, do you want this stitching or that sticking, do you want this extra or that
Any advise ?
