Earlier this summer whilst rushing to prepare for our planned trip to Scotland and Windermere I noticed that the central cross member of my trailer was rather rusty with large flakes dropping off and the bunks were in poor shape . Otherwise it was in fairly good condition as regards hubs tyres , hitch and main draw bar . Neverthless I felt that there was about £500.00 of work needed for new welded centre and possibly rear cross members plus the bunks and repainting . Whats more I just didnt have time to organise this as we were about to go abroad so I opted to have a new fully galvanised steel trailer made (cost £3900) . They have offered me part exchange on the old trailer but if any other member wanted to buy it then I would be happy to sell it for £500.00 ono. It is painted steel and the main C section lengths dont have any significant rust. The ladder and draw bar are good and the latter was completely renovated and strengthened a few years ago. Bearings all renewed last year and seen good. Bearing savers fitted plus hub flush system and stainless steel brake cables last year. The trailer is at the trailer service yard in Southampton and they wont want it cluttering up their space for too long so if you want it let me know asap.
